01 Purpose and Legal Notice

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the terms and conditions under which Banse Bruno, an independent developer based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire ("the Publisher"), makes the TasksToDo mobile app and its associated services ("the Service") available.

Installing, accessing, or using the Service constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please uninstall the app and refrain from using it.

02 Description of the Service

TasksToDo is a personal productivity and task/goal management app, designed with an offline-first architecture and a modern, refined interface.

The Service notably provides the following features:

• Task and project management: creation, hierarchical organization (goals, tasks, subtasks, color labels), prioritization, and visual reordering via drag-and-drop;
• Daily dashboard ("My Day"): a consolidated view of the day's priorities with real-time productivity indicators;
• Time tracking: 1-tap timing of work sessions, an activity mini-player, comparison between estimated and actual time, and automatic stop when a task is completed;
• Pomodoro focus timer: configurable work and break cycles with audio cues and automatic time logging on linked tasks;
• AI-assisted task generator: automated breakdown of a goal stated in natural language into a structured action plan;
• Google Drive backup and restore: secure export and re-import of the local database to the user's private cloud space.

03 Access to the Service, Offline Mode, and Minimum Age

1. Minimum age: Access to the Service is reserved for individuals at least 16 years old (or the age of digital majority in effect in your country of residence). By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Use without an account: The Service is immediately operational upon installation. No mandatory user account or password is required to use the vast majority of its features.
3. Offline operation: Your data (tasks, goals, time logs) is stored locally on your device (SQLite database). An active internet connection is required only for AI task generation, Google Drive backup/restore, and Google Play transactions.

04 Plans and Pricing

The Service offers three access tiers:

Current pricing ($3.99/mo or $29.99/yr for the subscription, and $89.99 one-time for the lifetime plan) is transparently displayed in the app at the time of purchase in the local currency of the user's Google Play account.

05 Payment and Transaction Security

1. Payment platform: In-app purchase transactions are exclusively processed and secured by Google Play Billing (Google LLC).
2. Banking data: The Publisher does not collect, store, or process any banking details or credit card numbers.
3. Restoring purchases: If the app is reinstalled or the user switches to a new Android device signed into the same Google Play account, the Premium purchase can be restored at no additional cost.

06 Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

1. Immediate digital content: By purchasing the Premium plan through the Google Play Store, the user requests immediate performance of the digital service and instant unlocking of the associated features.
2. Refund policy: Refunds are handled exclusively under the rules and timeframes set by the Google Play Store platform. For any refund request, users should use Google Play's official support process (typically available within 48 hours of purchase from the Google Play order history). The Publisher has no technical means of issuing direct refunds outside the Google Play infrastructure.

07 Artificial Intelligence Features (Task Generator)

1. Indicative nature of suggestions: The AI task generator proposes action suggestions based on the text description provided by the user. These suggestions are generated automatically as a methodological aid and source of inspiration.
2. User responsibility: The user remains solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, modifying, and carrying out the suggested tasks. The Publisher does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of generated action plans for complex technical, legal, financial, or medical projects.
3. Responsible use: The user shall not use the AI generator to formulate requests that are unlawful, defamatory, hateful, dangerous, or infringing on the rights of others.

08 Backup, Data, and User Responsibility

1. Responsibility for local storage: Since the app operates primarily locally (offline-first), uninstalling the app, clearing the device's app data, or factory-resetting the device without a prior backup may result in irreversible loss of stored data.
2. Google Drive backup: The app provides a manual backup feature to the user's private Google Drive space. It is the user's responsibility to back up their data regularly.
3. No liability for data loss: The Publisher cannot be held liable for accidental data loss occurring on the user's device, including as a result of hardware failure, theft, mishandling, or the absence of a recent Google Drive backup.

09 Intellectual Property

1. Publisher's ownership: All elements making up the TasksToDo app (source code, software architecture, visual design, user interface, icons, animations, brand, and logo) are the exclusive property of Banse Bruno and are protected by copyright and applicable international intellectual property laws.
2. Ownership of user content: The user retains full and exclusive intellectual property rights over all content they enter into the app (task titles, project descriptions, personal notes, time logs). The Publisher claims no rights over your personal content.

10 User Obligations

The user agrees to:

• Use the app in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
• Not attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the app, bypass licensing mechanisms, or decompile the source code;
• Not use the Service to organize or plan unlawful or dangerous activities.

11 Availability and Warranties

The Publisher strives to provide a stable, high-performing app. However, the app is provided "as is" and "as available." The Publisher does not warrant that the Service will be entirely free of errors, bugs, or temporary interruptions related to mobile operating system updates or third-party services (Google Drive, AI APIs).

12 Protection of Personal Data

The processing of your data and respect for your privacy are detailed in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

13 Changes to These Terms

The Publisher reserves the right to update these Terms to reflect technical, legal, or functional changes to the Service. The current version can be viewed at any time from the app's settings. Continued use of the app after updated Terms are published constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of them.

14 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

1. Governing law: These Terms are governed by Ivorian law, without prejudice to any mandatory, more protective consumer-law provisions applicable in the user's country of residence (notably within the European Union).
2. Amicable settlement: In the event of a dispute or complaint, the user is invited to first contact the Publisher to seek a prompt, amicable resolution at: contact@taskstodo.app.
3. Competent jurisdiction: Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute relating to the interpretation, validity, or performance of these Terms shall be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction under ordinary law.
